Aleksander Zarzycki (1834–1895) was a Polish composer, pianist, and conductor of the Romantic era. He wrote various chamber music works, contributing to the rich tradition of Polish music for small ensembles. He became associated with the musical life of Warsaw and contributed to the development of Polish music during the 19th century. His Mazurka in G Major, Op. 26, for violin and piano is particularly well-known. His compositions, especially the Mazurkas, demonstrate a deep appreciation for the folk elements of Polish music, contributing to the nationalistic trend in 19th-century European music.
